The honest page
What this is
CYABot is a joke about corporate self-preservation that turned out to be genuinely useful. You describe a workplace disaster; it rates the damage, writes the four messages you might need, tells you what not to say, and gives you one honest sentence about whether spin is the wrong play. The bit is the packaging. The advice is real.
Why the funny setting also works
Most workplace crisis writing fails for boring reasons: it arrives too late, it buries the point, it explains feelings instead of naming a date, or it apologises so hard it invites more scrutiny. CYABot fixes those regardless of which tone you pick. Even the Corporate Bureaucrat setting produces a message with a real commitment inside it.
When to ignore it
Anything involving harassment, discrimination, safety, fraud, or confidential data is not a comedy input. CYABot will refuse to spin those and tell you to escalate — believe it. Concealment is what ends careers; the underlying mistake usually is not.
The uncomfortable truth
Across almost every scenario we wrote, the highest-spine version of the message is the one that performs best. Fast, specific ownership with a named recovery date is, boringly, the optimal strategy. The deflection settings exist because they are funny, and because occasionally you really are being blamed for someone else's config change.
