Plausible deniability, actual transparency
Privacy
A privacy policy for a site about covering your ass had better be honest. Here it is, without the jargon.
The short version
No account. No login. No tracking of what you write. Your message is sent to CYABot, processed by an AI model to produce the grade or draft, and the result comes straight back to you. It is not stored, sold, used for training by us, or attached to your identity — because we do not have your identity.
What the website sends
When you generate a packet, autopsy or rehearsal round, the text you typed is transmitted over HTTPS to our server, which forwards it to the Lovable AI Gateway for processing and returns the response. We do not write your message to a database or log it alongside any identifier.
Your incident log lives entirely in your browser's local storage. It never reaches our server, so clearing your browser data deletes it permanently, and we cannot recover it for you.
What the browser extension sends
The extension only acts when you tell it to: you highlight text and choose a CYABot option from the right-click menu, or you type into its popup and press a button. It does not read pages in the background, does not watch what you type, and does not run on any page until you invoke it.
The selected text is sent to https://coveryourassbot.com/api/public/cya to be graded or drafted. The response is displayed and discarded. The only thing the extension stores locally is the text you just selected, briefly, so the popup can pick it up — and it deletes that immediately after reading it.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share your text. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not require or collect names, email addresses, employers, or colleagues' names. Please do not paste anything you would be uncomfortable transmitting to a third-party AI service — including confidential documents, credentials, or personal data about other people.
Serious situations
CYABot deliberately refuses to spin harassment, discrimination, safety, fraud, or legal exposure, and will tell you to escalate instead. It is not a lawyer, not HR, and not a substitute for either. Nothing here is legal advice.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is transmitted, this page changes with it. Questions can go through coveryourassbot.com.
